Vehicle Tracking Solutions offer plenty of Benefits

Are you tired of your company losing money? Chances are you have some drivers that just won’t listen to you and they are costing you money. You may not have proof of this, but if you suspect it then you can certainly work at getting that proof. It just depends on how much you are willing to do.

There are solutions out there that will help you deal with bad driver behaviour as well as other issues your company may face. Vehicle tracking solutions exist because fleet operators need a way to save money and make certain they are being productive. There are plenty of benefits to tracking devices. One just has to take advantage of them and they will start to see why these systems are so popular.

First, if you want to know where your fleet cars and trucks are at any given moment, you need tracking. You can track all of your company vehicles to see where they are with tracking. The device will be installed and will send real time data to you. This data will be important to mapping which driver is closest to a new client or new pickup. It will be important to see if a driver is using company time for a personal mission. What about suspecting your drivers of stealing some of the load? You can also prove if your driver is stealing from you by tracking them. A tracking device will tell you where that vehicle is, where it has been, and where it may be heading. You can see if it made an unscheduled stop. If this stop happens frequently and the driver comes up missing some of the shipment then you have a good idea where it may be at.

We do not want to think about the bad side to things, so if you are not worried about driving issues perhaps it may be operational costs that you need to reduce. Fleet operators spend a lot on fuel and maintenance each year. If you want to reduce these costs you can do so by installing tracking devices. The devices can remind you of maintenance needed. Also the devices can limit speed or help you find drivers who are speeding or excessively idling. All of these things matter when it comes to saving costs. An added benefit is improving customer relations. Your customers will be happier with more specific information.

‘App’ealing Developments with Smartphones in 2012

“Creating Smartphone Apps is similar to a person wrapping up a gift in shiny, decorative paper, putting a pretty ribbon on top, and handing it to the recipient for the very first time. Although developing an App is much more complex than that, the idea is the same. App developers work with the individual, entrepreneur, or company to maximixe success of an app and the return of investment. Many things naturally have to be considered when developing an app. First, there has to be a workable concept. Some questions that normally will be asked are: what type of market will be targeted? How unique and beneficial is the App?

Educating the client as to what they can expect from experienced App developers working on their project involves a five step process: concept, development, marketing, management, and ROI Reporting. No doubt, this will help the individual or business decide to decline or go ahead with investing in a Smartphone App for the short and long term benefits. App developers can produce affordable phone applications and are always available if questions should arise. They can address the legal side of application development by signing an NDA[Non-Disclosure Agreement] prior to the actual consultation.

Highly-skilled App developers can offer smartphone metric and marketing analysis, strategise ideas for smartphone development, and build lasting partnerships with their clients. Application development is truly an art form that is essential in a technological world. Choosing a company that is dedicated to making sure you receive success from a Smartphone App is key.

Google Yet to Resolve Issues with Samsung Nexus Battery

Android creator Google has yet to offer any word regarding the serious glitch that started to affect Samsung’s Nexus S smartphones when they were upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich nearly two weeks ago. Anticipation was high for Samsung’s latest smartphone to be updated to the newest version of the Android operating system, but this has quickly turned to dismay. The deployment of the ICS upgrade had to be cut off after just four days due to the high volume of complaints from customers who had already received the update and were experiencing a major glitch.

Along with more minor issues, the upgrade seems to cause the Nexus S’s battery life to severely decrease, draining to nothing within five hours of full charge regardless of how or even whether the phone is being used (according to a report from ZDNet UK). Although the same fault has been reported by a large number of users, it has not yet been determined whether every Nexus S handset that has been upgraded is experiencing the problem. Worries abound that the problem will not only be limited to the Nexus handset, but evidence a wider problem with the Ice Cream Sandwich update as a whole. Other reported bugs include limitation of phone signal and Wi-Fi connection.

Google has refused to comment on the bug, without offering any information on how the problem will be resolved or when the global update process will continue except a vague statement that it will happen “over the coming month”. Owners of Galaxy Nexus phones who have already installed the upgrade, therefore, are unfortunately stuck with the issue until Google can produce a proper solution, something many frustrated consumers feel they should have done by now. Considering just how much people are wont to rely on their mobile phones nowadays, their annoyance is understandable.
